Monday

Today would have been my fathers birthday. He would be 72 years old. He passed away to cancer in March 1992. It doesn't seem like it's been as long as it has. There has been so much he has missed over the years.

I got a massage today after my chiropractor appointment. Boy did that feel good! And the therapist is coming to our retreat this weekend to do them then as well. This will be her first time of doing them for me. But since it's so close to home and small, I thought I would ask her.

I went to my office today to see if I could get some things done. And I did. That was a nice feeling after having a semi lazy weekend. The man across the hall from me is Leon. He's a tailor from Conga Africa. He came here 16 years ago with his wife and 4 children. Now he has 2 more. He has had this business for many years. Then last year he moved to this location on Watterson Trail. Apparently he didn't do any kind of notice to people to let them know he moved. So he is basically starting his business all over again. He started working at UPS last week from midnight to 8am so he could bring in more money (wants to help his Mother in Conga). There is apparently a lot of war over there right now and he said they are in his old village now too. He wants to go, but said he would just send her the money to come if he had to. I saw some of the things he is working on and he does a great job. I told him I would let everyone I know who ever needs alterations, etc, that he would be interested. If you need anything, be sure to call him. I will get his phone number, because I think it's a cell phone. He is busy at times, but he needs more traffic there.

Simon told his teacher he wasn't feeling well later today, so I don't quite know what that is about. Then Sydnee mentioned the same thing. I just hope they both don't wake up sick tomorrow. If so, I guess my day will change.

I have a scrapbook retreat this weekend in Crestwood and can't wait (as usual). I love this place. Everything is so quiet and secluded feeling. You can take a nap whenever you want without anyone bugging you as to "why". I get so much done at these retreats. Jill is going this weekend too. She is a very good friend and we have hardly done anything over the last year or two. I really missed being around her so much. Before we went to Ukraine we got together to do our grocery shopping, work puzzles, watch Food TV, scrapbook, etc. It was always very enjoyable. But we have both had a lot of things in our life lately that makes our schedule changes.

Goodnight for now.
