The ruler

This was priceless. Simon and Sydnee were playing outside a lot today. At one point Simon came in all proud. He was holding a ruler shaped piece of wood. His comment was "look mom, I made you a ruler and mine is longer than the others that only go up to 12. When you see the picture, keep in mind the piece of wood is about 12" long.

The kittens found a new home today. I was happy for them and us, but now sad. After the people got here to pick them up they were all raggedy and I could smell smoke. So now I am afraid that I have placed them in a home that isn't very nice. I hate to say that, but I am always wanting to try to find them great homes and I know you never really know that is the case no matter how someone looks. But I just had a feeling. My problem is that I tend to spoil my animals and they live like I do. So Please pray these kittens have a good home now. These two were very easy going and probably were the most cuddly. So now we are back down to our two and the birds. So I can take down the pen which takes up a lot of space.

Mike is working lots of OT right now and probably until at least March of 2009. So I am on my own again with two kids. And school will be out soon for Christmas. That sure makes shopping hard. So will have to do what I can with what time I have left while they are in school.

This was a laundry day for me. It seems that when you get everything done, you turn around and there is always another 2-3 days worth. Maybe it's because that is how long it takes me to get it done. Mike is always telling me doesn't understand what the big deal is, but then when I came home one day and he showed me how much laundry he got done, he washed and dried it and then put it all on the kitchen table. He didn't fold anything. Well duh......that's the hardest part. But at least that part was done.

The birds are probably miserably full. I made them peanut butter seed treats today. I put it in places where they had to dig it out. And that they did. But they were all very active today and chattered like crazy. Tweety has fallen for Peaches (who looks a lot like him). They sit and snuggle constantly and then kiss. The bird store told me to get a nesting box in there. So we'll see what happens. That is if Tovarysh doesn't pull all of the layers of wood from it. He has found that the thin plywood has layers. I caught him pulling off the first layer.

Simon and Sydnee decided they wanted to lay in Simon's bed and listen to Go Fish Christmas CD. The kids love this group. Some of their songs are so funny. So they are in bed with a popcorn. Check out Sydnee's PJ's. Yep! Inside out. Here is the little robot that can't see. Needless to say she was walking into everything.

The birds are cute. Did I ever tell you I had a parakeet when I was growing up? We named it Bob, but then found out it was a Bobbi. :o)
