I talked to Mom yesterday and she told me that she thinks all of the boxes that I had coming to her house had been received. I sent them to her house because I was pretty sure they would come while I wasn't home and didn't want them to sit on my porch. There were quite a few. Mike had taken the kids to a birthday party in Taylorsville, and I went to my office to work on some things before Mike had to be at work. After he dropped them off to me, we went to Mom's so I could wrap the presents and take them home. It worked out very well. There are still a couple on backorder, but otherwise I am completely done. I just can't believe how relieved I feel knowing they are purchased, wrapped and ready for the big day. Like I mentioned before. I just hadn't done this this early in years. So it really felt good.
There is a website called "basic toys" that has wonderful things in it. Some of the items are things we saw when we were children. And they are still sturdy. I got Sydnee some stiltz. She has always wanted them. Simon is getting a keyboard so he will have something to practice on when he starts his piano lessons. I am sure he will enjoy that.
I have finally managed to finish running the reports on my taxes for the extensions that had been filed. So next week they will be in the accountants hands. I can't wait for that day. And Mike will stop hounding me too. Then on to the paperwork to get to UAW for Simon's tuition assistance. That will also be a huge relief. We had found out nearly a year ago that because Simon falls into the Autistic spectrum of diagnosis' he will qualify in KY for $500 a month in aid to help pay for respite care. This includes therapy equipment or anything he needs for helping him in school. The public school system would have an IEP system. But because he goes to a private school, they will pay that for education when the school has a special set up for children who need to learn individually.
