Spinach praises!

One thing Simon got for Christmas was a series of DVD's that have classic cartoons on them. They include, Woody Woodpecker, Popeye, Mighty Mouse, Caspar, Betty Boop, etc. But so far Popeye is his favorite. The funny thing is that he now wants to try spinach! Yep, the slimy green vegetable out of a can. I love spinach in recipes, but it's not my favorite to just eat plain. I remember one time when we were kids at the dining room table. I remember Cara yelling and Kenny kept saying "I didn't do anything!" Well come to find out there was this huge worm in her spinach on her plate. So I'm curious whether she eats spinach anymore. But I haven't been to keen on eating it out of a can myself. Anyway, back to the story. We were at the grocery yesterday and Simon saw a can of spinach in the veggie aisle and it had Popeye on the label. So I got him a can after being begged.

Well this morning he wants spinach for breakfast. See the picture? Whenever Simon even spots something on his plate that has a green cast to it, he will return to you anything he has eaten for the entire day right back into his plate. It's not just a "I don't like it thing". He will flat out start gagging in a major way just at the sight. If you don't make the green disappear very quickly, you will have a mess on your hands.

Well I am proud to say that Simon has tried and succeeded to eating his spinach. Take a look.

This one was a true test. I nearly thought he was going to toss it. But as you can see, he succeeded and had his Popeye muscle.
