We headed off to school on time today, but it took me 1 hour 25 minutes to drive 4.5 miles. It was bumper to bumper that entire time. It was snowing pretty hard, but I don't think that was a problem on Bardstown Road. They did mention several accidents on the freeway though. When I finally got far enough I decided to take Brentlinger over to Billtown which worked out well. Except for the fact that there was someone blocked on the big curve where there is construction going on now. I stopped to see if there was something a group effort could help. A guy had stopped to help this girl who just slid very gently into the guardrail. He said he really needed a shovel and he thought he could get her out. Well guess what? I have a shovel in my car. He moved what he thought was the problem and out she went. So 5 minutes, all was well. We finally got to school at 9:30.
I met my new neighbor in the building where my office is. She is very nice and we both were kind of wanting the same thing. Time and space. I really liked her space. It was much like mine, but about 2 feet larger each direction. She left her full time job to start her own business in accounting and taxes.
Our dishwasher is on the fritz. But apparently it's something that isn't worth working on, so we are now shopping for a new one. Any ideas anyone? It was around 11 years old. It's hard to believe that we have been in our house nearly 10 years. I have never lived anywhere this long in my life.
