I didn't accomplish much today since I went to quilt club. That lasts most of the day. Then while I was eating a late lunch it dawned on me that Simon had piano at 3:15. So I told 'em to box it up and I headed out. This was his first lesson and Mrs. Barnes really covered a lot. Since I am so not "musically inclined" I listened hard. It was very interesting. He has two small songs to learn by Wed next week. I think he will do well. Especially since the lessons are only 30 minutes. He got his big keyboard to practice on at Christmas. So I hope all goes well.

Sydnee's physical therapist has now finished her report on Sydnee's new testing. She is aging out as 7 years 9 months for certain skills, but when it comes to balance, standing on one leg, moving certain ways, she is very rigid and stiff, which makes her unable to do many things. So she is aging out as 4 years 3 months. That is nearly half of where she should be. So now she is going to be on a daily stretching plan. Her doctor in Cinci has also decided to put her on Respirdal for a short term to see if it helps her anger issues. She will be doing behavior modification in the mean time. The hopes are that with the therapy, she won't need the medication for a long time. But it may help her to receive the modification without fighting it. She is very hyper, and she screams and yells at all of us in the family. She gets so angry for no reasons. Then comes the sarcasm. Unfortunately I am afraid that she gets that from me. But I am praying we can both change that. I'm working on it, but it's been that way for so many years, it will be tough. But I won't give up.

We are going to our Hopeful Hearts Foundation fundraiser dinner on Feb 14. It also just happens to be our 11th anniversary. Hard to believe it's been that long already. The dinner has a silent auction too. I have donated a quilt that Mom and I worked on. I delivered it yesterday and Nancy loved it. I'm looking forward to the dinner. It's my one and only big night out every year. So we are going. They always show us video updates on what is going on in Ukraine, and an update on how many children have come home for the year.
