For the past couple of days, Simon has been telling his teacher that his stomach didn't feel good. But it always seemed to be during academic times of the day. He was fine when doing something fun. She asked me about it and when he would give me a smirk on his face, I thought he was just trying to pull our legs (again). Even after getting home yesterday he seemed fine. He ate dinner with no problems, watched his movie with no problems, etc. Well, at 3:45am he woke us up to "ask permission" to go to the bathroom because he felt sick. Then I heard the heaving. That is when he heard Mike and I say "run!". He made it just to our bedroom doorway. So for the next 45 minutes we cleaned up and was trying to get him through that. He threw up the entire time. Even this morning around 8:30am he was still doing it. Mike ran him to the doctor and sure enough Strep is rearing it's ugly head. Throwing up is Simon's common symptom of strep. So he is home until tomorrow afternoon with no school. Lay around and watch movies (his favorite past time). He'll carry his own personalized blue bucket around with him all day.
So far so good with Sydnee. Her teacher told me a little bit ago when I picked her up for therapy that everyone was saying how outgoing she was today.
