Sdynee and Simon have been in OT forever it seems, but they have made a ton of progress over the years. Sydnee is now in Interactive Metronome for 5 weeks (3 visits per week). This consists of sounds given in the headphones and then when she reacts to them with steps or claps it will send another sound. In the picture below, she is using the step mat. She should be able to do these steps without a chair. But in her case, she uses it to keep her balance. If she didn't, she would fall. She has done well, but there are a few things that has popped up that brought us back to things we used to see often with her. They effect her balance and unsteady gait. She has an appointment with a neurologist in Cinci in December to have this evaluated. I hope things are fine, but I just want to make sure we aren't missing anything. She has been on some potent medication over the past several years. We know the one tablet she was on for a short period of time for the Hep B had some side effects. We didn't think they would be lasting, but who knows. I plan on calling her specialist in Lexington to see if he had ever heard of any additional problems that we became aware of.

Simon likes the "body sock" as part of his routine. In this picture he is in the sock (which stretches) and then he climbs through tunnels with a rope ring in his hand. He climbs through and then places the ring on a small orange cone. Takes him forever.
