Miscellaneous photos

This is our only fancy night out each year. It happens that the Hopeful Hearts Fundraiser always falls near our anniversary so that works out. I enjoy going and it gives us an reason to dress up. This is a great evening.

This was our little incident on Christmas Eve in 2007. Simon was upset with me and decided to throw one of the battery filled components down the hall. Just about the same time Sydnee walked out of her bedroom into the hall. Yikes! Not a good combination. So off we went to Jewish Medical Center for a "glue together" session. They glued instead of placing stitches in.

I call this the Tom & Jerry quilt. Simon picked out the fabrics for this one.

I took a class for this quilt. Very confusing start, but ended well (Keyhole quilt).

This is a quilt I have pieced. Now I need to put it in line for Mom to quilt. (Garden Steps)
This is Grandmother Logsdons first quilt entry in the State Fair. Her and Mom have had lots of entry's in embroidery categories over the years, but this is their first quilt year.
Kentucky State Fair 2009. The Quilt Bees in Mt Washington put this quilt together and Mom quilted it. They got a second place ribbon on it. Not bad for Mom's first entry for quilting in the fair.
Sdynee's first attempt (and a good one I may add) at sewing. She was ear to ear the whole time.

This was a visitor we had come this summer. It's a cow snake about 4 feet long. I don't like snakes. It doesn't matter to me if they are poisonous or not. Mike let him/her go. Hopefully back to the farm across the road. Cow snake sounds like he needs to be near cows, right?

The kids enjoyed going through the misters at the Cincinnati Zoo. We went there during one of our appointment runs one day. It was nice, because I hadn't been in many years.

The kids and I met with the Hicks family to go to the IAC picnic in Cinci. It was a ball for the kids. They had clowns doing tricks, face painting, and making balloons. It was a lot of fun. I hope to go next year too. It is for any adoption families. This is Simon sporting his new Spiderman balloon hat and Sydnee with her Tweety face.

This has to be one of my favorite photos I have taken in a long time. The kids and I went out to Henry's Ark in Prospect. It was very interesting. Not a fancy place, but full of unusual animals that you can get up and personal with. I think I am going to enlarge this one and enter it in the fair in 2009. The larger it is, the funnier it looks.

These baby bunnies were found by Mom in her flower pot next to her deck. They were adorable. We watched them daily and of course I got photos of them each day as well. There were 6 in all.

I ain't afraid of no Goose!

We were on a run to Cinci to see some doctors. On our way back we drove through a new area. There was a lake with paddle boats, etc. We decided to stop and see what they were about. There were a ton of geese and Sydnee just ran right up to them. I kept telling her the story about my Cara getting chased by a goose when she was very small. If it weren't for the car window being open, that goose would have gotten right in the rear! The kids ask me about that story all the time.
