Last night Sydnee was going to bed. Sure she was tired, but I asked her where her doll was. She told me she was in the car. I asked if she wanted to go get her so she could go to bed. "No, she'll be ok". I told her it was supposed to be awfully cold. "No Mom, she'll be fine". I pretended to be the doll and whine "please mom, get me out of the car and bring me in to my bed and blanket.....". She covered her ears and told me to be quiet. Today, she threw her over the back seat! Hmmm, I think I jumped the gun.
Today I got to go see "Frosty and the Magic Hat" at the Derby Dinner Playhouse with Simon's class. Well all of the 1st and 2nd graders went, so Sydnee was there too. Their teacher broke her foot and couldn't go, so she called yesterday to see if I was interested. It was really nice. I was in charge of the 4 girls in the class and Ms Nancy took the 8 boys. We were back by 11:30. Later school called to let me know Simon was telling them he didn't feel well. He rested for a bit in the office and then went back to class. Then she went on to tell me that he decided to cut a little girls hair. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Why???? I think it was because that was the little girl sitting the closest to me at the play. Any other time he wouldn't want me to sit with him. He usually doesn't like it when I go because I am in "his space". So tomorrow should be interesting. This girls dad is the one who gave me a hard time at scouts a couple of months ago about Simon and his son. He told me Simon called his son "#2 brain". Well come to find out it was "Dr. Two Brain" on PBS. And the problem was? He ended up throwing a big fit at Simon and grabbed his arm and everything. I was thoroughly ticked. The least he could have done was tell me what he wanted to talk about before doing that. Simon was hysterical when he got done. Not what I needed at 7:45pm. So pray that he talks to school first and not me. He has a temper and I just don't even want to go there right now.
Today I was able to get nearly all of my gifts all wrapped. I took them into my office and worked on them and got them back in the car before they got out of school. Yeah! I have also made a spreadsheet on the computer with columns for each person. The I listed everything I have either bought or planned to buy with the cost listed. If I have already gotten the gift, I highlighted it yellow. If I still need to get it, I marked it light blue. If I need something comparable to an item in the other childs column, then I would mark it blank but light blue showing that. In the end, it totals up the amount spent on each child and then a total for everyone I have bought for as a grand total (very scary by the way). It is so easy to just glance at it and see what I need. Way cool! I will have to do this next year. It made it so easy. I can even make a column of where I need to go to finish up. But there isn't much of that left. Ooops I am bragging again. Sorry.
Both kids were asleep by 7:15 tonight. They were both complaining of being so tired. I think they haven't recovered from the long weekend.
