I went to school to get the kids to take them to therapy this afternoon. I usually go in, but parking was hectic, so I just pulled up and called to see if the office would send them out instead. As I was waiting, I saw Simon's teacher motioning for me to come in. When I reached the door and Simon opened it, she said "I just had to tell you how well Simon has done for the past two days. He hasn't had to go calm down or run off when he knows knowone is watching, etc". She was amazed at how well he has been. So that was nice to hear. Yeah!!
I stopped by Target to get things for the Santa's Breakfast at school on Monday. While I was there I found hats and mittens for $1. I bought 246 hats and mittens combined. I gave a bunch to school and the others will go to Ukraine. Anytime I find a deal on hats, gloves, mittens, slippers, shoes, boots, etc I get all I can and send them to Ukraine. So if you ever see a huge deal, let me know. I consider these special deals being under $2 each.
Sydnee's OT is going to let her have a break for a while until the neurologist has some decisions about what he will be doing. She is at a stand still when it comes to the balance issues. All of her testing tends to show the same thing each time. She has progressed so much, but still needs help with balance. The therapist is also going to see if our old PT will come back to help a few kids out. Sydnee can always do PT instead of OT for a while. I hope she does come back because we really liked her.
I have been making pillow cases and got quite a few done today. They have turned out so pretty. So if you know anyone who is interested in handmade pillowcases, give them my name or let me know.
