We had our monthly Ukrainian support group this morning. There is always good information shared at these meetings. That is the one thing we all have in common and that is our kids who are wired differently. We had a good turnout. Kathy and I have decided to start going to church to work out in the activities center. I absolutely hate to exercise, but maybe with someone going with me will help. I guess I need someone to make me go. I know it's good for me, but can just never make myself do it. So please pray that I will actually do it and continue to do it. I could definitely use some shedding of 10-15#.
I worked on pillow cases I have been making today. They have turned out so nice. Leon from across the hall was impressed with them too. He's a tailor, so it would take a lot to impress him. His work is great. I have seen some suits that he started from scratch.
Mom and I sat down to think of a name I could call my office. Finally Mom mentioned "CJ's Escape". I liked that name. It truly fit the situation. It is where I can go when I need a break and to get things done while the kids are in school. But then I am always close to school when they call. Like today. They called, but it was something simple to take care of. So no major thing today.
Mr Savage wrote Simon a note telling Simon how proud he was that he had two great days in a row. Believe me this is huge. Simon showed me the note and was grinning from ear to ear.
Tomorrow the kids and I are going to be bell ringers for the Salvation Army at Sams Club. Suanne B had emailed to ask if we were intersted. The kids are so excited. They have really gotten into putting money in the kettle this year. So to be the actual ringer is very exciting to them.
My jaw is still bothering me where I had the tooth pulled. I have had to be careful in taking the ibuprofen. I think I took enough on Mon/Tues to mess up my stomach. So I filled the prescription that Dave gave to me. I only take a 1/2 tablet or I would be falling asleep everywhere. I called him today to see if this was normal to hurt this long or if it could be something else. After talking to him, it sounds like I may have a dry socket. So I guess I will just tolerate it for a while longer. As long as I know it isn't anything horrible, I can just deal with it. So I will wait for Monday and see what it is doing then. At least it's the weekend now and I can relax a little more.
Mike is starting first shift during the Ford shut down. He'll be working 6am to 6pm 7 days a week right now. Yikes! This will take some getting used to. Especially since he isn't much of a morning person.
I plan to clean house this weekend and set up the new business blog. And work on making the new sign. I even plan to get my Christmas cards out too. I have most of the already addressed. Next weekend is the retreat, so I want to make sure I have everything all ready, so I don't feel guilty for leaving with a lot to do.
