Go Junior Warriers!

Today was the first basketball game for the kids. This is an Upward team at Highlands Baptist Church on Billtown Road. They put Simon in to start which was great. Simon jumped right in there and took off. He scored 6 points! I don't know that I have ever seen him so excited. When he made the first two points the coach ran to him giving him high fives. Simon was beaming ear to ear. He kept looking over at me and giving me a thumbs up. I was thrilled for him.


Sydnee went in soon after Simon. She hesitated in the beginning, but once she caught the ball as a rebound. I think she had surprised herself and that thrilled her to death. She stood up nice and tall after that and started taking off to get the ball. She was surprising people like crazy. I heard other parents mention how she just dived in to get the ball. She's small, but mighty. She shot a few, but didn't make any baskets.

I have to figure out how to get better photos. They just aren't what I would like. Next time I will take my tripod and see if that works any better. I am hoping to make each of them a little book about their first basketball team.

I was watching Cheapcycle and Freecycle off and on today to see if I could find a desk, cabinet and file cabinets. I did manage to find a large desk. And she had a huge white board for $15. So Mike stopped by there to get the drawers and white board. He's getting the rest of it tomorrow. I need more storage at my office in Jtown. If I get the space across the hall in Feb (a possibility), then I will have more space to work things. But nothing is written in stone yet. So I don't want to plan for that yet.

I spent today working on bagging up donations, sale items, or garbage. I just want this house cleared out. Many hours left to go to get it done. Maybe by the fourth of July?
