Simon had a great week last week, but then late this week it changed. Yesterday I had to go get him at school because when they started to work on the spring program, he kicked a teacher in the hip, slapped at children with his sleeves, bit a child, locked himself in the office restroom, etc. They called me to let me know this so I wouldn't think they locked him in there.

I got to school to see what was going on and realized that he was upset over the school program. I reminded him how proud I was of him last year when he participated in the program at Summit. He finally calmed down and was told me he was very sorry for getting so upset. You could tell this time he was remorseful. But I still had to think of a consequence. We were all supposed to go to Paoli Peaks tonight for snowboarding and tubing. So he was very excited and anxious to go. But now he can't go. Actually, the temperatures aren't real good for this anyway, but it made my point. The sad part is that Sydnee couldn't go either. So I had to tell her. She accepted this well and just asked if I would take her to Chuck E Cheese instead.

Last night Sydnee showed me the things that she got from Aunt Bev and Kim when she spent Saturday with them. She got a princess dress, but it is satiny instead of ruffles and lace. It's really pretty. Sydnee told me "Mom, it's very deglicate". It's so funny to hear her try to pronounce "delicate". I asked her how she liked the dress and she told me she loved it! I was happy for her. Because remember she isn't my girly girl. She is also playing more with her cabbage patch doll too. I love it! Don't get me wrong, she would still bring home a frog and lizard in a minute. So she isn't converting to full time girl yet. But I see progress.

She also got to go to a birthday party at "Justice" for her best friend. Our niece took her since I wasn't home. This was a place in Oxmoor where they put on makeup, fix their hair, etc. Sydnee came home with lots of "Hanna Montana" type things. She was so happy and couldn't wait to show me the things she got. Little arm glove things, a headset with microphone, colored chapstick, light up mirror, etc. She loved it. She kept telling me how cool it was.
