We had the birthday party and cookout. The day turned out to be beautiful! We couldn't have asked for anything better. We had several side dishes, burgers and hot dogs. Then of course after the cookout we had cake and ice cream. The kids loved their gifts and can't wait to spend their birthday money.

Sydnee and two of her friends were having so much fun in her room singing and dancing. I just wish the picture came out better.

Today, when I got up this morning at 6:45, Simon came up to me in the hallway completely dressed, from glasses to shoes. I think his motive was going to be able to play with his Nintendo DS sooner if he was up, dressed, fed and ready to go out the door. Hey, at this point, we'll do whatever works. Today they were supposed to wear a shirt that is the teachers favorite color.
We got a call from the rehab department to schedule Sydnee's casting. She will start this process on August 11. They mentioned July 7, but this would put her right in the middle of swimming season which she loves. So I decided that since it isn't an emergency, it wouldn 't hurt to wait until closer to school. This project will be a ways off now and we don't have to think about it for the summer. One down, one thousand to go.
I did find out some tax information today that we are looking at. We had heard that there are some benefits for school tuition for special needs children. I have to look closer into that and our accountant is as well. That would be a blessing.
